NFC is a fast, radiation-free, and globally established technology for contactless data transfer. It is known from contactless payment and electronic passports. The temperature data captured by the sensor patch can be read at any time using NFC-compatible smartphones or handheld devices. Due to the short reading distance, unauthorized data access by third parties is prevented.

Dipl.-Ing. Werner Koele, MBA (born 1975) studied biomedical engineering, gained experience at large corporations and a world-leading semiconductor company, was involved in the development of NFC technology, and spent several years in Silicon Valley. There, he engaged intensively with start-ups and, upon returning to Austria, founded his own in 2016. SteadySense has since been developing, manufacturing, and marketing two innovative sensor solutions: femSense and SteadyTemp.
Until now, continuous temperature monitoring has been used primarily in hospital intensive care units. With SteadyTemp, we are making it accessible to everyone. Because complete temperature curves reveal much more than a single measurement – just as a video tells much more than a black-and-white photo.
